International ARC Salon Exhibition

The Art Renewal Center is pleased to present the winners and finalists of the 2014/2015 International ARC Salon Competition. 

The ARC Salon will be exhibited in a live traveling exhibition that will start at the MEAM Museum in Barcelona, Spain, and then travel to the Salmagundi Club where it can be viewed from January 18th to February 4th.  A plethora of celebratory events will accompany the exhibition.  Exhibit Admission: $15. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 1-8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm (as allowed by scheduled events below).

Wednesday, January 20, 2016 - 7-8pm
ARC Chairman Fred Ross: The Visual Language of Realism
Come and view the paintings before the lecture. Wine and Soda available for purchase 5pm – 7pm. Come early to ensure seating. A limited amount of guaranteed seating in the front rows is available for $100. Seating will be reserved and includes a copy of the 2014/2015 ARC Salon Catalogue, a $55 value. Regular seating $35.

Saturday, January 23, 2016 1pm-5pm
Public Opening (Artist Meet and Greet)
Come and meet many of the artists and celebrate the ARC's first live showing of the ARC International Salon Competition. Wine and soda will be available for purchase. $25.

Tuesday, January 26, 2016 7-8pm
Introducing The Da Vinci Initiative (DVI)
Introducing skill-based studio art training to K – 12 classrooms. The Da Vinci Initiative, a 501C3, nonprofit, educational foundation, is a mission for visual literacy in our contemporary world. With a focus on K-12 public and private schools, the goal of this project is to provide skill-based learning in art education in order to deepen the understanding and applications of the visual language that surrounds us. FREE ADMISSION.

Thursday, January 28, 2016 7-8pm
DVI Presents Atelier Training as a College Alternative
A special forum for high-school students and teachers on the atelier training method and benefits for those interested in pursuing a professional career in the arts. $15 for General Admission only. FREE ADMISSION.

Saturday, January 30, 2016 1-5pm
ARC Salon Celebration:  Admission $15. Tickets purchased for the original public reception date of January 22 can be used for this event.

Sunday January 31, 2016 2-4pm $40
2 Hour Artist demo by Amanda Hallenius, President of the DVI.

Monday, February 1, 2016 7-8pm - This event has been cancelled until further notice
Julie Bell and David Palumbo: Fine art, Illustration and the Gaming Industry.
An opportunity to hear about what it is like working as successful artists in both the fine art world as well as the gaming industry and illustration. $35
